So it's been a long time Deviants.

I've worked full time, I've bought things online, I've made a portfolio and gotten into a course, I've helped make a kinetic machine, I've broken up with someone, I've eaten hot cross buns, I've been to a scribble party, I've drunk more than my liver is okay with, I've seen a stripper (it was a hens/bucks night... what of it?), I've been told I'm gluten-intolerant, I've been rollerblading, I've been addicted to a jewellery stall, I've listened to jazz, I've been kissed. It's been a pretty eventful few months actually! Funny how time passes and you don't even notice.

It's only now that I'm coming to the end of semester and remembering how much I hate being a student and how I want to work and move out of home and make art and music that I think of doing them. Uni catches you up in this whirlwind of assignments and you forget that there is real life happening and then you look up and six months has gone.

As much as I like being on campus and enjoy the company of people roughly my age who are interested in the same stuff I am, I'm not a fan of being a student. You're poor, you have to deal with crappy transport, you don't feel okay having any down time because you just know there's an assignment due soon you've forgotten about and you still have to do house chores at home between all the homework. At least when you're working full time, sure you have a lot of hours, but you're getting paid and when you finish for the day that time is yours. I miss it. I'm working on a new plan for next semester. It involves less studying and more working and moving out. I think it will be better for me.

I'm dreaming of roadtrips and sheepskin blankets and bonfires for my winter.
